Thanks TKID,
I couldn't find the symbol wherever I looked. I suspected it was hiding somewhere in the VW info.

What does this symbol mean?
Does any one know what this symbol on the infotainment screen mean? It comes on when in the our drive and stays there for most of the journey. But when starting from somewhere else I see the normal 4G symbol. Just interested.

Re: Granny charging with 3 pin plug - limited to 5amps?
We have been using the official 3 pin VW granny charger the dealer gave us when we bought the car 3 years ago. We have never got around to installing a charger. On our charger we get 7 to 9 miles added per hour (depending on temperature) using the reduced charge rate set in the app. This is using ab...

Re: Self seal puncture.
Sorry to hear your tyre shredded. My self seal survived till the tyres needed replacing for MOT. I replaced the Bridgestones with Pirelli’s, all 4 wheels. The rear Bridgestones had uneven wear which others have reported, the fronts were nearly gone. Cost around £1100 for all 4. Ouch! Interestingly, ...

Re: GTX Efficiency
I drive a 1st Edition, in general the range effects for our driving (in Eco mode) have been: Speed 65 mph more range than at 70 mph Use of Fan - lose 10 miles Use of Air Con - lose 40 miles Rain - windscreen wipers - lose 10 miles Night driving lose a few miles I reckon 250 miles is a good estimate ...

Re: About to buy a ID4
As DeltaDave said, definitely check the tyres, you might have only a few K left and they are expensive to replace, roughly £250 per tyre. The wear can be on one side (inner) of the tyre and not easily visible. We find heated seats a must as you can avoid using cabin heating which saves at least 40 m...

Is it possible to remove the rear seat?
Why you ask? Well a small stone or something seems to be rolling around on bare metal underneath the rear seats and it is driving me bonkers. It happens going round corners etc and is very irritating. The stone may have got there via the seat belt clip hole as there is a bit of gap in this area. The...

Re: Software issues
I had the same alarm issue after a service & software update at the dealers. It kept going off randomly. I called VW - AA assist , the technician who attended diagnosed a faulty Body Control Unit. He disabled the alarm. The dealer had given me an appointment for a couple of weeks. Hope your prob...

Re: App
Yes I have seen this. On opening the App it can show one mileage, perhaps the mileage after last charge, then show a value much lower and after sometime shows the same mileage as in the car. I wonder if it is linked to the App and the car synchronisation process. Likely to be a bug in initialising s...
