Re: Software update 3.5
It was over the air at the weekend. Not sure what has changed yet. That's interesting to know it's finally rolling out in the UK. Not seen anything on my ID.4 yet but good to know it's on the way. I believe that between 3.5 and 3.7 all of the changes are "under the hood" but the changes r...

Re: UK ID4 Match Pro 2024
Octopus can also control the Zappi charger, and it works better than controling the ID natively.
The only downside of the Zappi (in my opinion) is aesthetics, if you can deal with that then I definitely suggest the Zappi.

Re: Software update 3.5
How did you end up on 3.7 - was it via an OTA or via the dealer?

Re: Blind Spot Information System
Regarding the hardware, I would have assumed that having Park Assist with front, rear and side sensors, that they would perform the function for the BLI It needs a different control box and I think possibly different side sensors. Looked at retrofitting it to my ID4 but was.too much effort, was hop...

Re: Blind Spot Information System
The manual isn't that clever, my manual shows side assist and also memory seats, I don't have either (and didn't expect to have them)

Re: 3 year Roadside Assistance
OK - I got another letter reminding me that my breakdown assistance has now expired.
Phoned the AA to double check and they confirmed it HAD expired, spoke to VW CS who initially said it is just a year, but I pointed out to them their website says 3 years. Awaiting a call back from VW

Re: Advice on what tariff and home charger to go for a Volkswagen ID4 please
So my suggestion would be to go for Octopus Energy Intelligent Octopus Go. Your normal cost during the day will be a few pence more, but at night between 11:30pm and 5:30am you will get your electricity at 7.5p/kwh, which is mad cheap, around 1.8p per mile. This is all your energy use, so as DeltaDa...

Re: 3 year Roadside Assistance
This seems to still be ongoing. I got a letter today saying my roadside assistance is about to expire, but my brochure said 3 years and still says that on the website. Haven't rang roadside assistance yet but will be doing so.

Re: Faults
OK, so I had the handle issue with mine, it took four visits to the dealer to be resolved, but I THINK it's fixed now, all of the visits were within a week and they got me straight in. There was another minor issue with my car that wasn't even a warranty issue they fixed free of charge for me. I've ...

Re: Drivers door opens on its own
My local dealership has replaced the locking mechanism (note, not the handle) and that has cleared all errors. They're convinced this will resolve the problems I'm having. So - first of all I collected the car and the shiny trim was cracked with no mention from the dealers, so that took a while to ...
