Hi. I’m very new to my ID4 and is my first EV. Not my choice but foisted on us at work.
So please excuse my stupid questions…

I’ve only charged it 4 times now. Twice at a supermarket charger , no problem. Plugged in swiped card, stopped charging, pulled cable out. Now feeling confident I tried to charge it at home on a Pod point charger.
Plugged in, charges automatically.
Then tried to stop charging. So pushed “stop charging “ on dashboard screen.
Car stopped . Light at plug turned white.

But would the cable come out!? :x

I used the emergency pull in the boot to get it out.
But I had the same problem on a public pod point charger too.
Had to use the emergency cable release.

Am I doing something wrong??
Is that the correct procedure I’m following?
Or are pod point chargers just rubbish?

Can't comment on the Podpoint but I have on occasion had similar issues with public chargers (and once my own granny cable) not wanting to release at the end of charge (or sometimes a charge ended early).

I've never had to use the release cable, just used the fob unlock button, even though the car itself wasn't locked.

That's always done the trick for me -have you tried that?
