Array of warnings!

Hello, having a bit of a mad one!

I have a 2021 1st edition. Reverse camera stopped working a few weeks ago, but wasn't hugely worried as I don't tend to use it much anyway.

Last 3 days the system has gone crackers.

The following warnings are present -

• Error- Dynamic cornering light
  Proactive occupant protection system is restricted
  Error- Lane assist
  Front assist unavailable
  Only Emergency Charging is currently possible. Please consult vehicle wallet

The last one ref Emergency Charging is new and has just appeared whilst writing out the above list.


Software updated to 3.7 about a week ago.

Local VW state they haven't got any appointments to diagnose for another 3 months so genuinely at a loss of what to do.

Was wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this?

Might not be related, and to be clear I’m no expert, but some of your error messages appeared on my ID4 during (repeat during) the 3.7 upgrade which lasted almost 2 hours OTA.

I know because the upgrade took place whilst I sat in a car park waiting. After each message the car ‘rebooted’ itself and continued the upgrade. It was as if each ‘ fix’ was installed and then tested to see if the associated warning messages still worked. To be clear, 3.7 upgrade finished and nothing since. Note: at one point the whole car dies and you cannot open doors or windows, but after 10+ minutes the upgrade continues with yet another reboot. It finished. I survived. Probably won’t sit in again though.

Regarding your plight, I’m wondering, without evidence or fact, if the 3.7 upgrade completed? I would have thought Central Europe VW ‘we connect’ support could check their end.

Check your 12v battery - if it’s not holding its charge it might be causing the issue. I had something similar happen in a petrol car a few years ago.

Shot in the dark but I got that due to dirty bumper sensors and front camera iced over. Cleaned them and the issue went away.

Thanks for the replies! Randomly all the warning lights have gone apart from Dynamic cornering light which is intermittent and reverse camera still not working.

Tested the 12v battery and it came up as 167% charged ? But also gave a message saying charge and retest. I don't fancy charging it more where it showed 167% haha

I have noticed since the ohme app for my home charger keeps stating the battery is empty, and even though the vehicle charges to 80% (ive not tried 100) i get random notifications from the vw app saying my car is charged to 42% then another straight after saying a charging session has started?

I'll check the sensors and cameras are all clean when my partner gets home as she currently has the car - thankyou also for that suggestion!
