Seems like you are hitting the same issue as me. I have taken them out in the car and it has done it. I haven't got to the specifics of when it happens but where I live I have certain locations where a deceleration followed by an acceleration usually causes the issue to appear.
I feel like i am going round in circles with this. VW are now saying if I am not happy then you can go through the motoring ombudsman (which as a business leaseholder I cannot do) or to pay to have independent testing.
I am a bit disappointed with the response from VW.

Accelaration Problem

Sorry for the delay in responding, I didn't see your post as this appears to have gone to a duplicate in the forum.
My car is still in with the dealer (yes since 15th April). I have a courtesy car though. The Workshop Foreman/Service Manager has been really good with me and I tried to assist by going out driving the car with him, the laptop computer hooked up doing a live-scan of the car and refreshing it every 10 minutes. We were out for two hours and it just would not do it. Traffic was quite heavy so slow going at the time. As a result we are no further forward and there is no clear plan from here.
I think the trouble is, VW do not know how to resolve the problem and have not offered an alternative method of identifying the fault.
My car is also a company car but purchased rather than leased. I will get back to you soon and we can maybe have a chat.

My only saving grace is that we are changing companies so I give the car back in two weeks. Will be glad to see the back of it.
I have now just received a Volvo EV and it is nice to have a car that doesn't have the same problem.

Ditto... I've got a 1st Edition which didn't do this until I received the 3.2 update.
Reproducing the issue is very tricky, sometimes it does it when you have various driving features switched on, such as navigating a route, and on other occasions with everything switched off it happens. You're right, it's often having almost come to a halt and then looking to accelerate quickly it gets bogged down - such as at a roundabout, or pulling out of a t-junction... you know, the times when other cars are approaching at high speed and you hope you're going to pull away quickly.
It's clearly a software issue, so conventional mechanics/diagnostics are not going to spot it. It's like when ACC originally used to slow down on a 60mph A-road where it becomes a 70mph dual carriage-way, because it treated it like a junction. That disappeared after an update.

It is frustrating. The last tech I went out with said it is probably something in the software that is causing it but trying to find it is very difficult. As this is a dealer they are not paid by VW to undertake any significant testing - I offered them the car to drive around for a few days which they said they cannot do.
Really not a good response from VW as they do not want to accept there is an issue that requires further investigation.

VW customer services say that VW Technical have been unable to diagnose the fault and suggest its my driving style. It never happened the first two years, so they will probably claim my driving style has changed.
Fortunately the dealer has been good so far, I have had a courtesy car for three months now.
I think it could be software or a faulty sensor at the front of the car.

They also intimidated to me that it could be down to driving style. Personally I think that is a load of rubbish. I don't think they want to accept that there is a problem somewhere with the cars - maybe software related
I am so relieved that I no longer have the car and my new EV doesn't suffer with the same problem. Safe to say I will never go back to a VW EV now.

Yes I am in the UK.
I think I've nailed it and can almost make it happen on demand.
Approach a roundabout or junction and decelerate with the brake pedal (whether it's then using regen or actual brakes at that point might be a variable in the reaction) to a crawling space and then quickly transfer right foot to the accellerator pedal and floor it. If you actually come to a stop then it doesn't happen.
For now, you might try recording the problem with your phone to show the exact behavior when it happens. This can help VW understand the issue better. Also, consider contacting VW directly and asking for a referral to a high-quality independent VW specialist.
