Has anyone recently noticed the message in the VW app "Ready for vehicle software updates and more improvements?"

On clicking it, I'm then asked to log in and asked to give consent to the following:
  • Performance of analyses
  • Vehicle-related product monitoring
  • Product improvement and innovation
Do I need to give additional consent to these three so that I can get additional updates to the car, or can I reject all and still receive updates? In order to get the car to work with Octopus Intelligent Go, I had to basically give consent to however many things they asked me to, and now I'm finding out I have to give MORE consent?
I think I could give consent, see what the fuss is about and revoke it later. Wondering what other people's experience on this if they've gone through with it.

I've not had that in the app (but i did give the permission ages ago).
but, this morning i got n email from Volkswagen saying my car was ready for a software update to 3.2 OTA!
(my cars been on 3.1 for well over a year so i assumed it was going to have to be a dealer upgrade along with the service to get anything more)
