I’ve noticed that a lot of the plastic trim in the ID.4, like on the door handles and center console, is in black gloss (piano black). From my experience with this type of trim in my A4, it’s very easy to mark and scratches quite easily. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Has anyone wrapped it or found an effective way to protect it?

Hi
Used to own Range Rover Evoque and used to scratch even when cleaning. The VW has been no issue.

i was concerned about it too, but after almost 18months it's wearing ok with not noticeable scratches, but it is a finger print magnet and the sun glare bouncing off it at times (esp with low sun were having now) can be really bad. i wish they'd just gone for matt black its far more practical.

you can get some after market covers for it but I've not tried the (mentioned in some other threads)
ID.4 Life 52kwh, Moonstone Grey.
