After my disappointment with them changing the value of my car, which they said wouldn’t happen, hey ho, I got a free service plan and a 3 pin charging cable and some rubber mats, I prefer the rubber mats, means you can swill them down when they get muddy, so all in all I’m happier than I was, by the way what model did you get?
Last two cars have been black, so I really fancied something a bit more fun.
Handling is really good, turning circle is mad! I reversed onto my drive today as I normally do, went full lock and would have hit my wall as the turning circle is so much tighter.
I've got rubber mats for the back for the kids - but normal ones for the front.
I got the Style Edition Pro - so bigger battery but also Aircon at the back for the kids and tinted windows.
Don’t have kids, my wife says I’m enough, but I’ll be sat in the front 😂😂😂

Well the eagle has landed, only done 13 miles but going to give it a proper run this week, so far handling is great and I’m probably tempting fate but no issues so far, but the thing that impressed me most is the standing start acceleration, my god it’s quick. Still have a bit of range anxiety only time will tell but so far, I can now say i am total green, vegetarian, recycle everything, no kids, don’t fly anywhere my god I sound boring but I'm very very happy 😃

I'm not vegetarian or childless, but having an EV and solar has got to make up for that a little bit right?
I was a little disappointed with the acceleration, but I think it's just because the MG5 is a touch faster (you didn't go for the Performance, right?)
If you're doing a long journey then plan plenty ahead, but otherwise I don't think range anxiety is really a thing.
Get set up on an EV charging tariff such as Octopus Intelligent.

Just been planning ahead for a couple of days away, I charged the car for the first time today, but of a squeaky bum moment but after 2 attempts got it charged. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, it’s like the first time you ever filled with petrol after passing your test, a bit strange. Home charger arriving next Thursday, think my nerves will settle down then. I also think if you didn’t have to download loads of apps and the payment system was all the same it would be much simpler, what’s wrong with just swiping your debit card over the charger, simple, I don’t think I’d worry as much. I’ll get there, I’m just an old guy trying to catch up with the modern world, happy CO2 free driving 😂

Suggest you get an Electroverse card. Most of the big rapid chargers accept it and the app is really good. Swipe the card and it's added to your electric bill.
https://electroverse.octopus.energy/net ... -raven-830 use this link and we both get £5 credit.
It won't "catch all" but this and the podpoint app are pretty much all I use except for the odd place.
Home charger certainly helps though.
I'm just looking for a replacement steering wheel at a decent price so I can enable true Travel Assist driving!!

Thanks for the tip on Electroverse, already got one so I’ll check it out and update you. And the travel assist, I already have that, it works amazingly, a bit strange to think the car is doing most of the driving for you, something else I have that I didn’t know I was getting is park assist, talk about weird, I’m afraid half way through parking with it on a couple of days ago, I chickened out halfway through the manoeuvre. It’s like a space ship not a car, one massive computer, I think I’ll be changing it in several years and just got used to it, so much to learn 🤔

My car has been sat at the UK port since before the 22nd May, so almost 5 weeks now. Is this normal? Was under the impression it would be max 14 days once it hit UK soil?

Unfortunately at the moment this is pretty typical.
Mine was around 4 and a half weeks from UK port to dealership.

Thanks. Was this 4.5 weeks recently? Fingers crossed not too long then...
