Hi Andy, had my car back about 3 weeks now, range back up to to where it was before 3.2 reduced it, car is running great with the battery module change.

Exeter did mine and are really good, changed mine in a couple of days, just had to wait for the transport from Exeter to Manchester, so took about a week.

Excellent.

I’ve not noticed any issues apart from the warning lights, range has been fine too. Mine goes in a week today for the battery and hopefully it’ll be back before we go on holiday. 🤞🏻

Why not replace HarryMughal it with the new one?

The fault warning is likely related to the battery recall and should be resolved when the car goes in for the recall service. It's understandable to have concerns, but addressing the recall should resolve the issue.

Appeared this morning but coincides with the app update yesterday.
I think it ties in with my pending BCC visit but it’s a bit worrying all the same.
I’m waiting for the dealer to get back to me on it. IMG_1138.pngIMG_1137.jpegIMG_1136.jpeg
Well, well, well!
Got in my car this morning and drove a couple of miles before I realised my car wasn’t ‘lit up like Christmas’. The drive problem indicator and warning triangle were no longer showing and the dialogue box didn’t appear either. Nothings been done to the car so I checked the app. The app confirmed it too. Went to the App Store and there’s was an update four days ago but my app hadn’t updated. I clicked “update” and all is still fine. Go figure.
Now then, was there ever a fault with the drive or as I feel more likely, a software disagreement between the app and the car. The software is still 3.2 (no mystery and unlikely OTA update). So your guess is as good as mine.
Next phase of the VW mysteries happens in just over a week when it goes for its battery recall at the BCC. 🤞🏻
After several weeks of no warning, last Saturday (16th Sept) just as I was about to depart for a week’s holiday up came the warning again. Anyway, after much tooing and frowing of emails it is booked in for testing… again. They say it could either be battery or cooling pump. If it’s the pump my dealer can change it but if it’s a battery fault it has to be booked in to the BCC again!
Begs the question, if it is the battery why did the BCC cancel my previous appointment? If what they said is true why did my dealer say it had been sorted. There may be a small explosion on the Broadway road, Evesham if I don’t get answers on Wednesday.
Watch this space (or the skyline over south Worcestershire).

I received the ‘electric drive not working correctly’ when on holiday (August 2024). I took the car the Inchcape Exeter who ran the diagnostics and concluded ‘Fault located within cell module 5. Replacement needed’. But that it was ok to continue to drive. I left pleased I could continue, but at a cost of £115.

As the car is over 3 years old (March ‘21 registration) if is officially out of warranty. However, as it has only slightly out of warranty and covered <40k miles I don’t feel I should be paying the £2.5k quoted by my local garage to fix this. (Plus I’m not convinced they understand the issue).

I contacted VW UK (aka India) who have been in touch with my local VW garage (Vertu in Knaresborough). This has been going on for a couple of weeks without resolution.

Vertu Knaresborough have told me regardless they would have to carry out their own diagnostic (£168) before doing anything. I have pointed out that they would be plugging the car into the same system they used in Exeter, but they are Insistant.

Having read other forum reports the issue could be related to a software update. I am going to call in to Vertu next week and speak to the service manager directly. Will update once I have heard more.

Any further information from other is.4 drivers would be appreciated.

Battery has an eight year warranty, battery fault module faults are a factory recall. It shouldn’t cost you anything.
